About PCS

Trustees of defined benefit schemes and the Employers that support the Schemes are facing one of the most challenging times to ensure the scheme obligations are appropriately addressed. There is real concern that Schemes may materially impact upon the future survival of many Employers to their mutual detriment.

Our services

We have brought together experienced pension professionals to provide all aspects of covenant advice relating to DB Schemes, to try help both Trustees and Employers grapple with these issues. We are entirely independent and therefore are unlikely to have any conflicts when providing advice. Ours is a pure covenant advice service offering entirely independent of any other organisation.

We understand the long term nature of the relationship between the sponsor and any schemes it may support, so whilst the Scheme needs to be able to negotiate robustly with the Employer, in most cases its aspiration to meet all members benefits in full mean that the long term financial health of the Employer is of paramount importance to the Scheme. Our conclusions and recommendations fully acknowledge this interdependence.

We provide a high quality of support which will comply with The Pensions Regulator’s guidance on monitoring covenant support. Our specialisation allows us to minimise our cost base thus allowing us to provide highly competitive quotations for our services.

PCS has a nationwide representation. The team has a wealth of experience in providing covenant assessments for a variety of industries for standalone UK Groups and those who are part of a wider Global entity. The team specialises in Regulatory matters having acted on behalf of Employers and Schemes in such circumstances. We are used to dealing with high profile Employers where confidentiality is of utmost importance.
